We don’t have a gala. Just this page.

Your gift goes into the Hachi Fund (emergency grants to veterans and first responders) and what it costs to keep the Wednesday stream and the Discord on. Tax-deductible. No tier system. No glossy mailers. No naming rights for sale.

02 · Where it actually goes Most months

Where it actually goes.

Most months, every dollar lands in one of four places. We work small. The fund disburses close to what it raises, on purpose.

  1. 01

    The Hachi Fund

Emergency grants to veterans and first responders. Vet bills, utility shutoffs, transportation in a family emergency, similar urgent expenses. Grants typically run a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, depending on need.

    Roughly 62% of every dollar.

  2. 02

    Wednesday stream & Discord

Streaming software, the Discord server’s bot subscriptions, moderation tools, a small honorarium for guest speakers from partner organizations.

    Roughly 14% of every dollar.

  3. 03

    Outreach & partner work

Helping partner organizations (American Warrior Outdoors, Honorguard Coffee, others) reach the people we share an audience with. Sometimes a printed flyer. Sometimes a referral credit. Often just airtime on the stream.

    Roughly 17% of every dollar.

  4. 04

    Keeping the lights on

501(c)(3) compliance, banking, the audit, the inbox, the unglamorous part. We aim to keep this under 8%.

    Roughly 7% of every dollar.

Percentages are last twelve months, rounded. They drift. We publish a full reconciliation each quarter to anyone who asks.

03 · Other ways to give Check, match, in-kind, planned

If PayPal isn’t how you give.

  • Mail a check

Made out to The Heavy Hitter’s Project.

    The Heavy Hitter’s Project
    Attn: Donations
    Great Falls, MT 59401

We mail a written acknowledgment for tax purposes within two weeks.

  • Employer matching

If your employer matches, you can double your gift.

Most matching platforms look us up by EIN. If you need a W-9 or a 501(c)(3) determination letter, email and we’ll send the paperwork same day.

    EIN 33-2598998

  • In-kind

Audio gear, lighting, art, postage credit.

If you have something we could use on the stream or in the mail, email first. We’ll tell you honestly whether we’d use it well.

  • Planned giving

    Wills, estate gifts, beneficiary designations.

We can send the legal name and EIN your attorney needs in a single email. If you want to talk it through with a person first, we are happy to do that.

For any of the above, write to heavy_actual@heavyhittersproject.org. A real person reads it.

04 · The numbers Honest, current

Status

501(c)(3)

Federally recognized public charity. Donations tax-deductible to the extent allowed.

EIN

33-2598998

For employer matches, donor-advised funds, and your accountant.

Founded

2023

Great Falls, Montana.

Most months

Near zero

The Hachi Fund ends most months close to zero. That’s by design. If the balance grows, that just means more grants are about to be paid.
